Even if you don't see your particular insurance carrier listed on the previous page, there is a chance that your visit with us will be covered.  Below are some of the ways.

MultiPlan is not an insurance company, they are a PPO.  PPOs are basically large groups of doctors or insurance companies that contract together to allow patients greater access to doctors.  Lots of insurance companies participate with MultiPlan.  If you have an insurance plan that we cannot accept, look on your insurance card for a MultiPlan logo (it's a big M).  If your card has that logo, we can likely take your insurance.

For example, Cigna does not credential naturopaths and as such we can not accept Cigna insurance.  However, Cigna now participates with MultiPlan, and many Cigna plans have a MultiPlan logo on the card.  If your Cigna card has a MultiPlan logo on it, we might be able take your insurance—even though we can not accept Cigna.  Confusing?  Yes, it is.  Call us if you have any questions.  (See the Cigna page if you actually have Cigna insurance.)

Look for that MultiPlan logo on your card!  They contract with a lot of carriers.

Like MultiPlan, Beech Street is a PPO.  We are currently working to accept insurance plans that have a Beech Street logo on the card.  As of May 2007, it will be at least three months before we can accept these plans, however.  Call us or stop by our offices with your insurance card if you have any questions about your coverage.

If you do not see your particular insurance carrier on our webpage, you should contact your carrier to determine if your plan includes out-of-network benefits.  Also, ask if your plan will cover naturopathic medicine (they sometimes call it holistic or alternative medicine).  If so, our office will give you a detailed statement describing the services we have provided for you and their cost and your insurance company will reimburse you directly.  Sometimes the insurance company will want this receipt from you, sometimes they will want it directly from us.  We are glad to help in any way we can.

All of our fees are based upon reasonable and customary charges for this region.  If you must pay out of pocket and can do so on the day of your appointment, we offer a discount for services.  This includes patients paying out-of-network, those who do not have coverage for naturopathic services, and those who have no insurance.
