If you have Cigna insurance and wish to schedule a visit with us, all or part of your visit may be covered if certain stipulations are met.
We are considered an out-of-network provider with Cigna. Even though Cigna participates with MultiPlan (your card may have a MultiPlan logo on it), we are still considered out-of-network.
Due to our out-of-network status, there are some stipulations that must be met in order for your visit with us to be covered by your Cigna plan:
- Your Cigna card must have a MultiPlan logo on it. It's a big M.
- Your specific Cigna plan must have out-of-network benefits.
- Your specific Cigna plan must cover the reason for your visit with us.
Firstly, your Cigna plan must have out-of-network benefits, otherwise there is no coverage for our services. If your Cigna plan does has out-of-network coverage, it probably involves a deductible that must be met (by you, out-of-pocket) before Cigna will begin to cover out-of-network services like ours. Often, once this deductible is met, there is still a coinsuranceCigna will cover a percentage of our fees, leaving you responsible for the remainder. Even still, there may be some services, like dietary counseling, that your plan does not cover.
We will check the benefits and eligibility of your Cigna plan for you prior to scheduling a visit. This will let you and us know exactly what you can expect to be responsible for out-of-pocket. Please call us with your Cigna card in hand so that we can take your information and confirm your benefits (including how much of your deductible has been met, if applicable).
